The brief called for a re-interpretation of the traditional food court model. We were required to work with the existing retail pods, ceiling and flooring. We needed to create consistency across all tenants, while providing them with the opportunity to highlight the special things that make their retail business unique.
We designed a space that is sensitive to its surroundings, and connects to the river in a very natural way. Unlike many materials commonly found in food courts, we used stone, exposed concrete and copper to create a modern and luxurious space.
The space is frequented by local corporate workers and visitors.
